• Each For Equal – CSAE celebrates International Women’s Day 2020

Women in the association and not-for-profit sector are uniquely positioned to work for gender equality – for themselves, their colleagues, their professional communities and the wider world.

CSAE celebrates these efforts – and women — across the sector for their amazing efforts:

Sometimes, women leaders enter a male-dominated space and reinvent not only themselves but the environment around them too. Danielle Russell, executive director of Air Cadet League, Ontario Provincial Committee, speaks about her experience:

Stephanie Landers’s voluntary work for Women in Renewable Energy is a perfect example of women empowering other women in a professional community:

Progressive and creative tweaks to company policies like the ones developed by Dr. Judi L. Malone, CEO of Psychologists’ Association of Alberta, and her team make it easier for working mothers:

Kim Coles, executive director of the Professional Association of Foreign Service Officers, and her team advocate for better conditions for hundreds of female foreign service workers:

Unequal pay scales remain a complicated and hot issue when it comes to gender equality. Decision-makers like Rhonda McIntyre have worked to level the field at workplaces:

Taking on the wage gap is no easy feat, and the efforts of women like Tracy Folkes Hanson, president & CEO of CSAE, have helped working women across Ontario:

Despite the Canadian Corporate Counsel Association’s membership being 50/50, conference attendees were split 70/30 with the majority being men. Catherine Cummings, executive director, and her team made conscious efforts to eliminate this gender gap and make their conference more inclusive:

Canadian women have become more diverse, and so have women on the CSAE team. Here’s to unity in diversity!

    Happy International Women’s Day!
