    Volunteer Community

    CSAE volunteers represent members from across Canada. There are currently over 150 active volunteers contributing their time, creativity and expertise to add value to the membership community and association sector. CSAE volunteers’ contributions align with the Strategic Plan to advance association excellence. CSAE recognizes and celebrates volunteers’ time, talents, contributions and dedication to CSAE and the association sector. CSAE thanks all volunteers for their support, dedication and leadership.

    Volunteer Opportunities

    Board of Directors

    As a member of the Board, you’ll contribute your talents and progressive ideas to advance the strategic direction of the organization and drive its mission to deliver the knowledge, resources and environment to advance association excellence. By serving in a leadership capacity, you will further the priorities outlined in the new strategic plan, which positions CSAE to be:

    • the champion for associations in Canada
    • the centre of excellence for the Canadian association sector
    • the model for continuous improvement for association management

    In identifying qualified candidates for nomination to the Board, the Nominating and Board Development Committee will consider prospective candidates based on merit, with regard to those competencies, expertise, skills, background and other qualities identified from time to time by the Board as being important. The Board, made up of highly qualified Directors from varied backgrounds, benefits from the contribution of different perspectives and experiences to promote better corporate governance.

    This volunteer opportunity is available to CSAE members. Applications open during the summer and are reviewed by the Recruitment and Selection sub-committee.
