• Webinar: Cultural Competency for People Leaders and Managers

    Webinar
    1-2pm ET

    CSAE is thrilled to offer the 2024 webinar series in partnership with Indigenous Works. Learn more about the first webinar below.

    People leaders and managers in organizations that are dedicated to building inclusive and culturally safe workplaces must commit to growing their cultural competencies. These competencies are typically described in the context of a cultural capability framework(s) and can include competency development in areas such as:

    • knowing First Nations, Métis and Inuit culture, history, customs and worldviews
    • cultural humility which entails demonstrating respect for Indigenous cultures and developing awareness of one’s own cultural biases and foundations;
    • cultural awareness including behaving and acting in culturally appropriate ways. This training session focuses on different examples of cultural capability frameworks and what they typically include. Examples of cultural competency training for people leaders and managers are also provided.
