Case Study: How to Host an In-person Event in the COVID Era

In person events are making a return. Manitoba member Jonathan Strauss will share lessons learned from an association trade show held in October 2021. He will lead a discussion about the return of in person events and you will have the opportunity to share your recent experiences and how you are preparing for your next in person event. Topics will include checking for proof of vaccination, social distancing, F&B and are hand shakes back.

Jonathan founded Strauss event & association management, Canada’s first AMC Institute accredited association management company, in 1995, at the age of 16. Since then, Jonathan has been continuously growing both his knowledge and the company’s client base. Strauss currently manages seven national and four regional associations, as well as many large-scale events, trade shows and conferences each year, both in person and virtual. Jonathan currently sits on the executive of two of the company’s largest clients – The Pedorthic Association of Canada and the Promotional Product Professionals of Canada.
