Let’s Press For Action on Truth and Reconciliation

The recent discovery of the bodies of 215 children buried on the site of a former residential school in Kamloops has been a heartbreaking reminder that there is much work to be done to confront the deep and pervasive legacy of colonialism. This devastating news holds CSAE fast to our commitment to listen, understand and take meaningful steps to do better as an organization.

Individual and organizational efforts are critical, but they are not enough. We are therefore asking the government for an accelerated response to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Calls to Action (CTAs), including making available the funding that is essential to this work. This is one humble step and there is much more to be done.

Find out more about CSAE’s call for action here.

Lend your voice by writing to your local MP using this template.

If you have not done so already, please read the TRC Report and Calls to Action.

“I am thrilled to have completed the CAE program and achieved the CAE designation. I was fortunate to have been introduced to the CAE program early in my career. The course content and peer discussions were invaluable to me as I began my journey in the association world. Every chapter I read, I gained more and more knowledge that I could use, that very day, to positively impact my association. I was able to build the skills I needed to gain confidence as an association manager and leader. Without the unwavering support of my family and CAE classmates, it would not have been possible.”
