    MEMBERSHIP SPOTLIGHT

Marc Forgette | Founder, Makatew Workshops

My name is Marc Forgette, and I am the founder and workshop facilitator for Makatew Workshops, an Indigenous-owned company focusing on delivering hands-on workshops on cultural teachings to both Indigenous and non-Indigenous groups. I first joined CSAE’s Ottawa-Gatineau network in 2010 while working for a four-diamond hotel in Ottawa. Since starting my company in June 2019, the first membership I decided to join was CSAE for this simple fact: I got out of my membership exactly what I put into it. I’ve served on the Special Events Committee in the OG network since Jan. 2012 and continue to do so. The connections I have built are invaluable to me; I encourage both association professionals and suppliers to consider joining CSAE.  It’s worth the investment!
