Silva Chan | Canadian Motor Vehicle Arbitration Plan (CAMVAP)
I am the program coordinator for the Canadian Motor Vehicle Arbitration Plan (CAMVAP). CAMVAP is a cross-Canada program that resolves disputes between consumers and manufacturers about defects in their vehicle’s assembly or materials, or how the manufacturer is applying or administering its new vehicle warranty. I joined CSAE for the most important benefit that this association can provide, and that is the opportunity to engage with other not-for-profit leaders; those that have a positive influence in society and that face similar challenges and obstacles. Within three years, the CAE® program broadened my knowledge of association leadership, operations and strategic planning, providing me with skills that I continue to use in my career today.
