Learner’s Digest: June 2021
Over the past 16 months, we’ve learned many lessons about the value of staying connected with the members of our communities, both personal and professional. We’ve shared tips on working remotely and holding successful online events and AGMs. We’ve commiserated about living through a pandemic and we’ve made each other laugh, even when we didn’t feel much like laughing. The value of community has never been so clear. That’s why we are harnessing the power of community as the focus of this year’s 2021 conference, Nov. 9-11, 2021. The call for proposals is now open, and I invite you to apply. And don’t miss the early bird pricing for registration! Over the coming months, we’ll be providing additional opportunities for you to share your knowledge with the association community. Next up, we want to hear about the successful initiatives you managed in 2019 and 2020, so keep an eye out for this year’s Awards of Distinction. More details are coming soon! Sept. 6 – Nov. 29 Grow your competencies and your career with the Certified Association Executive® program, developed especially for senior leaders, executives and managers of associations and not-for-profit organizations. Work online at your own pace as you accumulate critical transferable skills and sector-specific knowledge. Here is what one of our recent graduates had to say about the CAE® program: “I am thrilled to have completed the CAE program and achieved the CAE designation. I was fortunate to have been introduced to the CAE program early in my career. The course content and peer discussions were invaluable to me as I began my journey in the association world. Every chapter I read, I gained more and more knowledge that I could use, that very day, to positively impact my association. I was able to build the skills I needed to gain confidence as an association manager and leader. Without the unwavering support of my family and CAE classmates, it would not have been possible.” Patricia M. Connors, CAE Executive Director Nova Scotia Physiotherapy Association Interested in acquiring the CAE® designation? The Fall term is open for registration. Click here for details.
