Exploring Bias: A Team Workshop
April 13, 12–5 pm ET
Online
Being held in partnership with CCDI Consulting Inc., this workshop is a great opportunity for associations and not-for-profit leaders looking to get on the same page with their team about their organization’s journey toward equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI).
This team workshop will establish some of the fundamentals of inclusion, diversity, equity and access (IDEA) and then tackle one of the most pervasive barriers to inclusion in the workplace: unconscious bias. By leveraging the experience of participants through discussions and group activities, you will:
- Explore the sources and mechanics of bias as well as its impact in the workplace
- Discover strategies you can use to increase awareness and mitigate the impact of bias in the workplace
- Build on your understanding of unconscious bias to gain insight into how written and unwritten rules in an organization can negatively impact employees with diverse backgrounds and identities
- Explore types of bias, the potential outcome of unconscious bias in the workplace and provide personal strategies to mitigate the impact of these biases.
This workshop is available at one group cost: for one fee you can bring up to 10 participants.
