• 2024 CSAE Benefits & Compensation Report – Out Now

    As associations, we need to set an example for the industries and professions we represent by ensuring our employees are compensated fairly. The 2024 CSAE Benefits & Compensation Report, produced by CSAE in partnership with The Portage Group, contains comprehensive statistics on benefits and compensation practices of associations and other not-for-profit organizations across Canada.

    The 2024 report has more robust data than last year’s report, representing over 230 organizations and 1600 employees in the sector.

    • Non-management positions experienced the most significant increases after seeing average compensation decline in the previous study period. Support staff saw the largest year-over-year growth at 17.4% in 2023.
    • The vast majority of management staff surveyed anticipate an increase in compensation in the next 12 months.
    • CEO compensation grew at a modest rate of 2.2% in 2023, compared to 8.4% in 2022.
    • Age, experience and education influence association compensation.
