    Heather Reid, ARCT MSc DES, Founder & CEO, Planner Protect Inc.

    With almost 30 years’ experience as an entrepreneurial event planner, Heather Reid – Founder & CEO of Planner Protect Inc. – consults with event hosts and industry professionals to negotiate BALANCED event contracts. With more than $8.6 million tracked in results – Heather LOVES what she does! She has received national recognition for her thought leadership and innovation in the industry, including being named to the Canadian Meetings & Events Expo Hall of Fame in 2017. As a regular contributor to industry associations and media through both written and spoken words, Heather reaches thousands of event professionals every year.

    Bruce Landry, Program Officer, Member Relations, Colleges and Institutes Canada

    Bruce Landry has been with Colleges and Institutes Canada (CICan), a national and international voice of Canada’s publicly funded colleges, institutes and polytechnics, since 2016. As Program Officer with the Member Relations division, he coordinates the national Awards of Excellence and Paul and Gerri Charette bursary programs, along with planning Leadership Institutes, topic specific symposia, and CICan’s flagship annual conference.
    Previously, he represented CWT Meetings & Events, working with pharmaceutical company Alcon Canada as a meetings and events planner, where he coordinated trade shows, learning events, and joined the organizing committee for the annual sales meetings.
    Bruce holds an Event Management Graduate Certificate from Algonquin College and while completing his Communication and Media studies BA at the University of Ottawa, was both events and promotion coordinator of the campus bar, and events coordinator for the Communication Student Association.
    He is an avid runner, Disney enthusiast, and can be caught escaping to a new country annually, when not living through a pandemic.
    Currently, he is the chair of CICan’s Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Committee, and soon-to-be Director of Educational Programs with the MPI Ottawa Board of Directors.
