• ONCA Transition Challenges

    You’re invited to attend an upcoming webinar on the recent ONCA changes and what association professionals should expect.

    Determine what steps need to take to comply with the new Ontario Not-for-Profit Corporations Act, 2010 (ONCA). The ONCA was proclaimed into force on October 19, 2021. All Ontario membership-based corporations incorporated under Part III Ontario Corporations Act now have three years to transition into compliance with the ONCA. This seminar will explain the rules in the ONCA, as well as practical steps, considerations and strategies to deal with challenges on the transition process, including: membership structure, board election and appointment, membership rights and remedies, as well as duties and defences for directors and officers.

    Theresa L.M.
