How to Survive and Thrive in the New Normal
Date & Time: June 17, 2 pm (EDT)
This session was originally planned for CSAE BC Okanagan Breakfast Roundtable, but has now be made available to all.
In a short time frame the working world has been turned upside down, and navigating the new reality of working from home, working alone (or not!), and staying productive can be challenging. As a “solo-preneur”/remote worker myself, I get the struggle of staying focused when distractions (laundry, meals, kids, pets, partners, etc) are constant. Add in the current COVID context and it creates further complexity to balance as we worry about loved ones, try to practice social responsibility and get bombarded with relentless media coverage, much of it negative. The good news is you CAN survive, get things done and stay a valuable contributor.
In this session we will focus on practical tools and techniques you can implement immediately to be productive including the three keys to transitioning your work life: Managing Yourself, Managing Your Work, and Keeping Accountability.
Objectives:
- Learn about task prioritization
- Why you procrastinate
- Leverage your personal “prime time” to get things done!
