What We Will Talk About

Specifically designed for non-experts, this session with Mark Jones, FCPA, FCGA, will empower you to understand financial information and oversee your organization’s finances. You will also learn the responsibilities of your Board members towards your organization’s financial health and how you can enable them to decipher financial information, even if they do not have the requisite background.

About the Facilitator

Mark Jones, FCPA, FCGA, Partner, Olafson & Jones Chartered Professional Accountants Inc.

A lifelong Winnipegger, Mark earned his professional accounting designation in 2000 and aspired to enter public accounting after leaving the role of regional director of Video One Canada, the country’s largest distributor of home video, games and accessories. Mark has been a partner in the accounting firm, Olafson & Jones Chartered Professional Accountants since 2008. The firm offers a full range of accounting, assurance, taxation and consulting services to personal, corporate, owner-managed, not-for-profit and First Nations entities.
An active volunteer, Mark has held served on several Boards and currently sits on the Board of Directors of the Manitoba Hockey Hall of Fame and is the incoming chair of The Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce. Mark is a proud dad, a passionate fan of the Bombers and Jets, and a bad golfer.
